Vanadium redox flow battery

Vanadium redox flow batteries are two compartment batteries that are not as widely used as other batteries. One of these reasons is because thermal issues are one of the major concerns for the efficiency of VRBs. This research project developed an improved VRB model which considers the coupling effects between the electrochemical and the thermal behaviors of VRB. The model was simulated on MATLAB using Simulink and Simscape blocks and components.
