Our Team
Colton Crosby
2nd Year Aerospace Engineer
My name is Colton Crosby and I’m a rising second year aerospace engineering major on Cal Poly CubeSat Lab’s Aero Team. I am pursuing a BS in aerospace engineering and strive to pursue an MS in mechanical engineering to make progress towards my career goal of working on propulsion systems. My previous engineering experience is in thermal analysis, CAD, CNC machining, and manufacturing. The Next Gen Avionics project expanded my experience into the disciplines of computer science, electrical engineering, and systems engineering. In my free time I enjoy hiking and making music.
Ed Du
3rd Year Computer Science
My name is Edward Du and I’m an incoming 3rd year Computer Science Major on Cal Poly CubeSat Lab’s Software Team. I am planning to obtain a B.S and an M.S in computer science, as well a minor in data science. While this project had plenty of hardware issues we were tasked to identify, my previous work experience has been primarily software-based. I learned a lot about the work-structure of these more hardware-oriented projects as well as the basics of systems engineering. I hope to be able to apply this knowledge in my future classes and work. When I’m not working, I enjoy going outdoors and mountain biking, hiking, and skiing, depending on the season.
